A property dealer was found shot dead in his car in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad on Thursday after he got a call and left his office on Wednesday, police said.
The police said they were informed by the family of 45-year-old Farookh, a resident of Nahal village, that he had been missing since Wednesday evening when he received a call and left his office which is right next to the house.
The police succeeded in tracking his Wagon R car which was found parked on the service road of Upper Ganges canal near Chitora Bridge. The body was found on the front seat and his spectacles some 10 metres away from the car.
"On the basis of the family's statement, his phone calls are being screened and the body was sent for postmortem," said Senior Superintendent of Police H.N. Singh.
