Reigning French Open champion Garbine Muguruza went down 6-7, 3-6 to Polish Agnieszka Radwanska at the WTA Finals in their White Group encounter here.
On Wednesday, both players squandered match points in their opening encounters, but defending champion Radwanska showed greater composure to come out on top with a controlled display in a match that lasted an hour and 36 minutes, reports Efe.
In the same group, Russian Svetlana Kuznetsova had her second consecutive victory defeating Czech Karolina Pliskova 3-6, 6-2, 7-6 (6).
Muguruza will face Kuznetsova, while Pliskova will play against Radwanska in their next encounters.
