Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday obliged overzealous party workers by eating a 'paan' they brought for him.
During a road show in Unnao near Lucknow when hundreds came on to the streets to greet him, some young Congress activists started shouting "Rahul bhaiyya Zindabad" to catch his attention.
Once they managed to make eye contact with the Gandhi scion, they offered a special 'chandi wark meetha paan' which the Congress leader happily accepted, a party leader told IANS.
Party leaders say Gandhi, who is on a 'Kisan Yatra' from Deoria to Delhi, now freely mingles with the crowds and even poses for selfies with people.
