Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday resumed his 'Kisan Yatra' here after praying at the Sankata Devi temple, with a large crowd massed outside.
Accompanied by former Union Minister Jatin Prasad and former Congress MP Zafar Naqvi, his cavalcade went through Behzam, Mitali and Kasta areas of the Mohammadi assembly segment.
After a shoe was hurled at the Congress leader at Sitapur on Monday, security was strengthened for Gandhi, a police official told IANS. Uttar Pradesh will see assembly elections early next year.
