Seven people in Egypt's Alexandria city died on Sunday due to the windy and rainy weather, media reported.
Six people were killed when an electric cable fell on them due to the strong winds in Moharam Bek district near a tram, according to a report in government-run Ahram online.
The seventh person was killed in Sidi Bishr district after a lamppost fell on him amidst heavy rain and strong winds, Xinhua quoted the report as saying.
The coastal cities of Alexandria and Beheira as well as Sinai Peninsula have witnessed heavy rain since the early hours of Sunday.
Temperatures dropped considerably in Egypt on Sunday, with winds and rain in most governorates in Egypt, including Cairo.
Egypt's meteorological authority said the weather is expected to remain unstable until Tuesday.
