Rain and thundershowers would occur at most places in coastal Karnataka, officials from the meteorological department said on Friday.

South-West Monsoon continues to be weak in the state.

The Met Office has advised fishermen to stay off the sea as strong winds ranging in the speeds of 45 to 55 km per hour are likely along and off the Karnataka coast.

Karnataka capital Bengaluru will experience a generally cloudy sky with light rain in some areas while strong and gusty winds will blow at times, officials said.

The city is likely to see the maximum temperature hover around 30 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature would be around 20 degrees Celsius, officials added.
