Bypolls to the vacant Rajya Sabha seat from Manipur and one from Odisha will be held on May 25, the Election Commission announced on Wednesday.
The process of election will be completed by May 27, the poll panel said.
The Rajya Sabha seat from Manipur became vacant after death of the sitting member, Congress' Haji Abdul Salam passed away.
The seat from Odisha fell vacant as its occupant, Bishnu Charan Das of the Biju Janata Dal, resigned after his appointment as Deputy Chairman of Odisha State Planning Board and convener of the BJD's Dalit cell.
Notification for the election will be issued on May 8, and the last date for nomination is May 15.
