Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary Ram Madhav called on Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik here on Tuesday.
"Ram Madhav shared his views with the Governor on the upcoming municipal and Panchayat elections in the state," an official spokesman said.
"He also discussed various measures necessary for equitable development of all the three regions of the state," the spokesman said.
The National Conference and the Peoples Democratic Party have announced a boycott of the polls.
The Congress will announce on Wednesday whether or not it will take part in the elections.
