For the first time, rapper Badshah will be seen showcasing his acting skills in the upcoming episodes of popular show "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai".

Badshah will play some of his foot-tapping numbers like "Abhi toh party shuru hui hai" and "DJ waale babu" at the 'sangeet' ceremony of onscreen couple Shivangi Joshi and Mohsin Khan.

"I am very scared of acting, but the entire cast and crew was so friendly and they made it so easy and so much fun. This is my first time acting on a TV show and it was a really nice experience. They made me feel really comfortable and I really wish to come back on this show again," Badshah said in a statement.

Shivangi, who plays the role of Naira in the Star Plus show, said: "It was an extremely memorable evening for my on screen 'Sangeet'. It couldn't have been bigger and better than having Badshah himself grace the occasion. We couldn't have asked for more to make it an even more special occasion."

'Roop tera mastana' recreated on 'The Voice India'

Popular singer Benny Dayal, who is seen as a coach on singing reality show "The Voice India Season 2", will next be seen recreating legendary singer Kishore Kumar's famous song "Roop tera mastana" on the show.

Benny will recreate the song along with contestants Baishali Lama and Paras Jetly.

The contestants, along with their coach, created a spectacular improvised version of the song which had everyone grooving.

Talking about the experiment, singer Salim Merchant said in a statement: "For the first time ever I am hearing such a version in a reality show. I loved this version, I like the improvisations also. Baishali and Paras both sang it so well. It was a great battle."

Talking about the contestants, Benny said: "It was a pitch perfect battle for me. Both their tones were intact. I really appreciate one thing of Baishali that she has put in a lot of efforts in this song, and also she has never learnt music. Without learning, the way she sang, it was incredible."

"The Voice India Season 2" is aired on &TV.

Vicky Ahuja's 'fatherly vibe' for Ananya Agarwal

Actor Vicky Ahuja, who will be seen as the father of child artist Ananya Agarwal in upcoming TV show "Meri Durga", says he is trying to make her comfortable while shooting. He feels she gets a "fatherly vibe" from him.

"Meri Durga" will focus on a father-daughter relationship.

"Ever since we started shooting together, I wanted to ensure that Ananya is very comfortable around me and could share the similar rapport with me like she does with her dad," Vicky said in a statement.

"Her mother generally accompanies her on set but there are times when her father also does. On such days, I used to spend time with her father to understand his relation with her... That made me aware of Ananya's characteristics.

"She is my favourite co-star on the set and I think she would say the same for me. We have a blast together. I make sure she gets a fatherly vibe from me," he added.

Ananya turned 13 on Saturday.

The show will be aired on Star Plus starting from January 26.
