Real Madrid should stick with manager Carlo Ancelotti because he is the best candidate they could hope for, former England star striker David Beckham has claimed.
Ancelotti joined the Spanish giants at the beginning of the last season and has since won the Champions League, Copa del Rey, Club World Cup and European Super Cup.
That hasn't stopped him receiving criticism, though, something Beckham insisted on Saturday was indicative of the sky-high expectations at the club.
"If Real Madrid don't win every game 4-0 or 5-0, people say that there's a problem - and that's part of the problem. Real Madrid have fans all over the world and the expectations are always high," former Manchester United star, Beckham was quoted as saying by mirror.co.uk.
"I love Carlo, he's one of the best people I've ever spent time with, one of the best managers I've ever been managed by. He's a manager who has humility, he has so much passion for the game, he's a winner, Beckham, who played for Real between 2003 to 2007, said.
"To see the success he has already had at Real Madrid for me is incredible and not surprising. I look at him as a person and as a manager - as a person, you can't get any better and as a manager, the same. He's one of the best."
The former Chelsea manager is rumoured to be leaving the club in the summer. Beckham, though, feels it would be a mistake to let him go.
When asked Ancelotti was the right man for the job, he said: "For me, yes. Because he knows how to get respect out of the players, he knows how to get the best out of the players - and the players respect him, as does everybody in the football world."
