The process of registration of pilgrims for the annual Amarnath Yatra 2015 has started, it was announced on Monday.
Registration for the Yatra, which will begin on July 2 on both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes and conclude on August 29 - could also be done online through the Amarnath Shrine Board website - www.shriamarnathjishrine.com, an official statement said.
The board has asked pilgrims to carry sufficient woollen clothes and rain-protective gear, while advising women not to wear sarees.
Those below 13 years of age, above 75 years and women who are more than six weeks pregnant will not be permitted to undertake the pilgrimage, it added.
