Reliance Communications operating income went up by 3.6 percent during the first quarter (April-June) of 2013-14, the company said here Thursday.
It posted Rs.5,315 crore operating income for the first quarter against Rs.5,130 crore posted during the fourth (January-March) quarter of the last fiscal.
The company posted Rs.1,701 crore earning before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in April-June quarter, which is two percent higher than the previous quarter's Rs.1,668 crore.
The mobile carrier's loss declined to Rs.228 crore for the first quarter of 2013-14 against Rs.252 crore loss posted during the corresponding period last fiscal.
Reliance Communications stocks fell by 5.87 percent and closed at Rs.131.40 Thursday at the Bombay Stock Exchange. Results were announced after market closed.
