At least one person was killed in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan's Paktia province on Saturday, the police said.
"One civilian lost his life and another was injured when the car they were travelling in ran over a mine on a road in Gardez city," police spokesman of the province Sardar Wali told Xinhua news agency.
An investigation into the incident was underway, the official said.
