The governing body of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is likely to discuss rotation policy of Head of Departments (HoDs) of the institution during its next meet on December 21.

Rotation policy of HoDs in the institutions was one of the prominent recommendation suggested by the MS Valiathan committee, which was constituted during the United Progressive Alliance-1 (UPA) regime to bring improvement in the functioning of the apex medical institution.

According to informed sources, the meeting has been called by the Union Health Ministry, two months after the governing body met last.
