Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic claimed her first tennis title of the year by coming back to beat Samantha Stosur of Australia 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in the Prague Open final here on Saturday.
Safarova, second seed and 16th in the world rankings, entered the final by beating fellow Czech Karolina Pliskova, while Stosur enjoyed a walkover after Russia's Svetlana Kuznestova withdrew due to injury.
It was 29-year-old Safarova's first title of the season since she was stopped at the first round five times so far this year.
