Serie A side Sampdoria has announced the dismissal of its Italian coach Walter Zenga, the club said in an official statement.
Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero and the club's management on Tuesday expressed their sorrow at the early termination of coach's contract and wished him luck in his future projects, reports Efe.
The dismissal of Zenga, who arrived at the Italian club this season from Genoa, was imminent after his team's defeat against Fiorentina in the last round of Serie A.
His successor has not been officially announced yet, but media points to former Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella.
