'Sanam Re' mints Rs.5.04 crore on opening day

Filmmaker Divya Khosla Kumar's love story "Sanam Re", starring Pulkit Samrat, Yami Gautam and Urvashi Rautela in the lead, has registered a promising start with an opening day collection of over Rs.5 crore.

The film, which released on Friday during the Valentine's Day weekend, collected Rs.5.04 crore on its opening day, read a statement from the makers.

Made on a budget of Rs.20.50 crore, "Sanam Re", Divya's second directorial venture after 2014 film "Yaariyan", has already recovered Rs.16 crore from music, satellite and overseas distribution.

Produced by T-Series, "Sanam Re" is expected to see a good growth over the weekend, especially on Valentine's Day on Sunday.

The film also stars veteran actor Rishi Kapoor.
