Botafogo midfielder Clarence Seedorf is set to be the next manager of AC Milan, according to media reports.
The 37-year-old has signed an in-principal deal to join the club next season, replacing current manager Massimiliano Allegri, Xinhua cited Globoesporte as saying Friday.
Seedorf has six months left on his Botafogo contract, having joined the club in July last year after a distinguished 10-year spell at the San Siro.
The former Dutch international has made no secret of his wish to become a manager and is in the final stage of a course to obtain his UEFA-approved coaching license.
Former Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has also been linked to the Milan post.
