Actress Shamili is not playing the female lead in actor Vishal Krishna Reddy-starrer Tamil actioner "Sandakozhi 2".
"Shamili is not the heroine of our film. We are still on the lookout for a suitable actress," a source from the film's unit told IANS.
To be directed by Lingusamy, the film is the sequel to his own blockbuster "Sandakozhi", which catapulted Vishal to stardom.
The regular shooting will start from September.
Incidentally, the makers were in talks with Akshara Haasan.
"Talks were initiated but things didn't materialize. Meera Jasmine who was part of the first part will be essaying a brief role in 'Sandakozhi 2'," the source said.
