Actor Sharad Kelkar is delighted to do a cameo in TV show "Sher-E-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh", and says it will be a visionary project.
"This is the first time that someone is making a show on the Sikh community which is what caught my interest. Hence I agreed to be a part of the project even if it's for a cameo as this is going to be a visionary project," Sharad said in a statement.
The show, which will air on Life OK, is based on the life and the journey of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. It will feature actors like Shaleen Bhanot, Sneha Wagh and Sonia Singh. In the show, Sharad will be seen playing the role of Banda Singh Bahadur, who is a Sikh warrior.

Vicky Ahuja spends time with real life school peons
Actor Vicky Ahuja spent a lot of time with real life school peons while shooting for "Meri Durga" in Punjab and Haryana to understand his character of a Haryanvi peon better.
"As an actor, one always wishes to add authenticity to their character and I too felt that when we are already in the real location, why not meet real peons in schools and understand their mindset and daily routine," Vicky said in a statement.
He added: "I got an insight into how they tackle students and the daily school work. It is amazing how they manage and multitask altogether. I am sure I will now be able to do more justice to my role of Yashpal."
"Meri Durga", which will air on Star Plus, is set against the backdrop of Haryana, and brings a story of a father who, against all odds, is determined to educate his daughter for her better future. On the other hand, his daughter, despite her best efforts to study and noble intentions, keeps falling short of his expectations.
