Indian athlete Narayana Sharadha failed to qualify for the women's 100 metres final at the Commonwealth Games here.
The 27-year-old Chennai-born finished sixth out of seven competitors in the semi-final, clocking 11.71 seconds while Schillonie Calvert of Jamaica won the race in 11.08 seconds at the Hampden Park Stadium late Monday.
Schillonie qualified from the group along with England's Asha Philip but both failed to earn a medal in the final which was won by Nigerian Blessing Okagbare in fantastic fashion as she broke the Commonwealth Games record with a time of 10.85 seconds.
Jamaica's Veronica Campbell-Brown took the silver in 11.03 seconds while her compatriot Kerron Stewart took bronze in 11.07 seconds, her season best.
