Manchester United great and Indian Super League (ISL) team ATK head coach Teddy Sheringham was seen in a different avatar on Wednesday, taking part in the second Pro-Am of the McLeod Russel golf tour championship.
Sheringham played all 18 holes and was seen in a refreshed mood talking to reporters later.
"It's good to be spending some time in the golf course. Like coaching, playing 18 holes is also not easy. I had a good time," Sheringham said.
Golfer Udayan Mane and his team comprising amateurs Soham Daga and Pavan Ghai won the event. Ajeetesh Sandhu and his team comprising Pradeep Bajoria, Akshay Bajoria and Ishan Bajoria finished runners up.
Englishman Sheringham though was the cynosure of all eyes. The Treble winner with United in the 1998-99 season is also known for playing poker. The 51-year old, who also plied his trade for Tottenham Hotspur, has played in various competitions worldwide.
Sheringham has not had a great start with defending ISL champions ATK, remaining winless in the first four matches to finally turn the tables against Mumbai City FC on the road in their previous outing.
