Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth made a remarkable leap of nine places in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) men's singles rankings released Thursday.
Backed by his semifinal appearance at the recently concluded Singapore Open Super Series, where he lost to World No.1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia, the Hyderabadi has risen to a career-best ranking of No.16.
Parupalli Kashyap, on the other hand, maintained his 19th position.
In the women's singles, World Championship bronze medallist P.V. Sindhu re-entered the top-10 by moving a place to No.10 while ace shuttler Saina Nehwal remained at No.8.
No Indian figures in the top-25 of men's, women's and mixed doubles rankings.
