Six people, including three women, were killed and two others injured when a private vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, police said.
The accident took place near Ranvi village in Nerwa in Chopal tehsil, some 120 km from Shimla, an official said.
Two of the injured have been admitted to a hospital in Nerwa.
Police said the driver probably lost control over the vehicle while negotiating a turn.
