At least six persons, including two women, were killed and four critically injured when a truck laden with iron plates overturned on a hilly road in Odisha's Kalahandi district on Saturday.
The mishap occurred at Ambapani Ghat in Kalahandi district when the truck went out of control and overturned while on its way to Nabarangpur from Bhawanipatna, said police.
The victims were returning to Maidanpur village in nearby Nabarangpur district in the truck, said police.
The critically injured persons have been admitted to a nearby hospital.
The driver and helper of the truck fled the spot soon after the accident.
