Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan underwent a surgery Tuesday at the Lilavati Hospital and the family sources say that it was successful.
"The surgery continued for almost two to three hours. It went off very well and his family is with him," a source close to the family told IANS.
Shah Rukh underwent surgery on his right shoulder and his son Aryan flew down from London to be with is father.
Writer Mushtaq Sheikh, a close friend of SRK, too updated fans about the surgery on Twitter.
"Good news for everyone who is asking and sending in prayers and wishes for SRK. His surgery has been successfully completed," he tweeted.
The surgery was due for quite some time.
"Shah Rukh had injured himself during 'Ra.One', but later he got busy with 'Chennai Express' and said that he will get the surgery done only after wrapping up the shooting for 'Chennai Express," the source said.
While shooting for Rohit Shetty's "Chennai Express", the 47-year-old often got pain in his shoulder, but he refused to use body doubles for "Chennai Express".
