A Class 4 student at the GD Goenka Public School at Indirapuram here died on Tuesday after slipping on the second floor corridor, police said.
The incident occurred in Niti Khand when 10-year-old Arman Sehegal, who was to appear in an internal examination of the school, was going to the classroom.
As he was walking, he slipped in the corridor and collapsed. The school management rushed him to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The father of the student, Gulshan Sehegal, blamed the school for the death. "The corridor was not safe to walk," he told the police, and demanded legal action against the institute.
The police have registered a criminal case against the Principal and management of the school.
