A 21-year-old student of engineering died in a road accident in Sector 52 of Gurgaon in Haryana, police said Friday. The student, a resident of Saket in south Delhi, fell off a moving auto-rickshaw.
Abhinav Walia was a final year student at Amity University in Manesar in Haryana. The accident occurred Thursday evening. He died while under treatment at a private hospital.
"Walia was on his way to the HUDA City Centre metro station with two classmates. The incident happened late Thursday," investigating officer Prem Chand told IANS, adding that a case of accidental death had been registered at the Sushant Lok police station.
The body was handed over to Walia's family Friday after post-mortem.
