A school student committed suicide in Jharkhand's Bokaro district as he feared getting caught for withdrawing money from his father's account after stealing the ATM card, police said.
Arbind Soren, a student of class nine, was found hanging from the ceiling fan Tuesday morning at his residence in Bokaro steel city, around 130 km from Ranchi.
He left a suicide note which states that he committed suicide fearing he would be caught for withdrawing Rs.10,000 from his father's account after stealing the ATM card.
Arbind's father Monday complained to bank officials that Rs.10,000 was debited from his bank account.
The bank official spoke of providing the video footage of the ATM and this information was shared by Arbind's father with his family.
Fearing getting caught, Arbind committed suicide.
His body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
