New Delhi, Dec 26 IANS) Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan met Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday to invite him to launch the Lok Sabha calendar for 2018.

Informed sources said the calendar is based on the special theme of 'inscriptions' in Parliament.

They said Naidu, who is also the Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, has consented to launch the calendar and it would be done on December 28 evening after a meeting of the inter-parliamentary group.

The main building of Parliament has inscriptions in Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian.
