An overcast sky gave way to a partly sunny Monday with the maximum temperature at 20 degrees Celsius, three notches below the average. The met department has forecast a clear Tuesday.

"Tuesday morning will be foggy but sky will get clear in the day," said an official of India Meteorological Department.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 20 and 9 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The minimum temperature Monday was three notches above season's average at 11.8 degrees Celsius.

After a wet weekend which brought down the temperature, Monday had an overcast sky which later turned clear but the day was chilly.
