Sunny morning in Lucknow

It was a bright and sunny morning here Wednesday after days of blinding fog and bitterly cold days.

Still, more than 80 trains were delayed and another 30 were cancelled due to fog on the outskirts.

The Met Office has, however, forecast the winter chill would return soon in the Uttar Pradesh capital.

"This is a temporary change in weather and the winter chill accompanied with fog will return pretty soon," the weatherman said.

The rail transport, however, continued to be crippled owing to inclement weather and fog on the outskirts.

More than 80 trains were running late, the Indian Railways has announced cancellation of 30 trains till Feb 15. These trains include Janata Express, Rajdhani Express, Barauni Mail, Allahabad-Haridwar Express, Barauni Express, Chapra-Mathura Express, Sialdeah-Delhi Express, and Jansadharan Express, besides others.
