Susan Sarandon's daughter suffers miscarriage

Eva Amurri Martino, daughter of actress Susan Sarandon, is shattered after losing her baby after nine weeks of pregnancy.

Eva, 30, revealed in a blog post that she tragically lost her and husband Kyle Martino's baby, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

The couple, who have a 12-month-old daughter Marlowe Mae, had just announced the pregnancy to family and friends at their daughter's first birthday this month. Days later, Eva discovered the baby's heart was no longer beating.

"Just like that, it was all over. I remained in the (doctor's) office and went through the procedure to remove the baby from my uterus.

"My doctor told me that this was most likely a case of there being an underlying major developmental problem with the fetus, and that it had simply stopped growing. That nature had taken its course in the most brutally honest and simple way that nature sometimes works," Eva wrote.
