External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday said that she would be unable to attend the swearing-in ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan due to her diplomatic engagement and counselled the media not to speculate about her absence.
"Media - Pl avoid the headline: 'Sushma skips Oath Ceremony'," Swaraj said in a series of tweets.
She wrote: "I am unable to attend the swearing in ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan since I have a meeting with Foreign Minister of Hungary."
In another tweet, Swaraj tweeted: "I congratulate and welcome all my colleagues joining the Council of Ministers."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to reshuffle his council of ministers on Tuesday by inducting 19 new faces in the first major exercise since he assumed power in May 2014.
