The West Bengal government has launched a project to have a digitised online biography of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore's illustrious life to reach out to the Bengali diaspora and tech-savvy youngsters.
The project was launched last week by the state's urban development department.
According to sources, the site will have a dynamic homepage with time-appropriate content and options for a customised view using full text search.
Scheduled to be completed in the next six months, the web platform will include a timeline that will provide details of important events and works associated with Tagore.
The death anniversary of Tagore termed 'Baishey Shrabon' will be marked Aug 8 this year.
