Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that Tamil Nadu based industrialists have promised to invest Rs.3,000 crore in his state.
Khattar was here leading an official delegation to attract investments to Haryana as a part of the roadshow, Happening Haryana - Global Investors Summit, slated for March 7-8.
Speaking at the event, Khattar said he had met several industrialists and businessmen in the state on Wednesday morning.
"Twelve organisations have promised to invest around Rs.3,000 crore in Haryana," Khattar said.
He added companies like Schwing Stetter, Saint-Gobain, Farm Fresh Banana and TVS group have assured him of investments.
The Tamil Nadu government had held a global investors meet last year and announced that memorandums of understanding (MoU) have been signed with several investors with the assurance of over Rs.2.42 lakh crore being invested.
