Country musicianTaylor Swift was shocked to see her former boyfriend John Mayer at the same restaurant.
The duo split in 2010 following a brief romance and the 24-year-old apparently didn't take the break-up very well as it was believed she referenced the 36-year-old in her track "Dear John" four years ago.
She was reportedly so stunned to see the singer dining at the Chateau Marmont here that she even considered leaving the eatery, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"When Taylor saw John it was as if she saw a ghost. She was horrified and, for a moment, contemplated leaving," said a source.
"Cooler heads prevailed and she acted as if she didn't see him but she totally knew he was there and was uncomfortable," added the source.
The two avoided eye-contact for the whole night and didn't talk.
They then left the hotspot separately.
