Heat wave conditions prevailed in Rajasthan with temperatures touching 42 degrees celsius in Churu.
Kota was hot at 41.6 degrees celsius while the desert town of Barmer sizzled at 41.4 degrees celsius.
Jaipur recorded 40.3 degrees celsius, almost five degrees above normal for this part of the year.
Pilani and Jodhpur at 40.4, Jaisalmer at 41 and Bikaner at 41.2 degrees were also scorching.
"There will be little change in temperatures in next 24 hours with heat wave conditions continuing to occur at isolated places in the state", a weather department official said.
