Tension prevailed Thursday in Trilokpuri area of east Delhi, which was recently hit by riots, after a fight between two drunk men over a petty issue, police said.
Police personnel have been deployed, and patrolling was on till late night.
According to a resident, two drunk men were fighting near Block 15 over some issue around 8 p.m., when a few miscreants threw stones at them and ran away.
Police said a rumour spread in the area of stone pelting by men from one community, which led people to shut down their shops.
The situation came under control soon after police personnel were deployed.
The area was under curfew for over 20 days after police imposed section 144 CrPc, which prevents unlawful assembly.
