Thailand is set to issue multiple entry tourist visa from next month, a foreign ministry official said on Thursday.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Sek Wannamethee said those visiting Thailand may apply for the multiple entry tourist visa and pay 5,000 baht (about $139) in fee, Xinhua news agency reported.
Bearers of such visa may visit the Southeast Asian country several times with each visit being allowed to last a maximum of 60 days, the spokesman added.
The multiple visa is primarily designed to help promote Thai tourism which already has become the country's largest foreign currency earner.
