It is just perfect that your girlfriend is aware of your musical choices but a speaker that learn what kinds of music you like and even where and when you prefer to hear specific genres is definitely science.
How this 'Cone' speaker by San Francisco-based firm Aether works is quite simple.
Just turn the dial to play and tap the centre button to pause.
If you do not like what you hear, rotate the ring around its edge.
Want to hear something specific? Press and hold the centre button and tell what would you like to hear.
By studying your listening habits on streaming services, Aether's algorithms can learn what kinds of music you like.
"The idea is to to eliminate the forest of choices forced upon us by phones," Aether co-founder Duncan Lamb was quoted as saying.
"We make things designed to think and respond appropriately to you, to continuously enhance the moment, and to make every day a bit nicer," said a post on Aether website.
