Three people were arrested in connection with the sensational Rs.7.69-crore heist in the national capital, the special cell of Delhi Police said Saturday.
"Three people were arrested from different parts of the city and Rs.1.5 crore has so far been recovered," a police officer told IANS.
Police said four others are also involved, who have been identified but are absconding.
A group of people robbed Rs.7.69 crore in cash from a businessman near Lajpat Nagar in south Delhi and hijacked the car in which he was going with four other employees, Tuesday morning.
Police said that businessman Rajesh Kalra was arrested in 2000 for his links with bookies and was charged in the Hansie Cronje match-fixing case.
Two people were detained Friday in connection with the Rs.7.69-crore heist by Delhi Police, which is probing the case.
