A seven-year-old girl was gang-raped by her three minor neighbours inside a park here after she was lured there on the pretext of getting mangoes, police said Monday. All the three accused have been taken into custody.
The incident occurred in Paschim Vihar area of west Delhi Sunday afternoon.
"Two passersby found the girl inside the park after hearing her cries and informed police," said a police official.
"The victim's family was informed about the incident and the girl was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors confirmed rape. The girl is still under treatment at the hospital," said the official.
On the victim's statement, the accused were apprehended from their houses Sunday evening and sent to a juvenile home, he added.
The girl told police that the accused took her to the park on the pretext of getting her mangoes.
