Three members of a family including a woman and her two teenaged children were stabbed to death by another family member in West Bengal's Kalimpong district over a property dispute, police said on Sunday.
The incident took place in Kalimpong's Jaldhaka area on Saturday night.
"Suraj Bujel has been arrested from for killing his sister in law and two of her children while they were asleep on Saturday. The three were fatally stabbed with a khukri," said an officer from Kalimpong police station.
"The accused is being held in Jaldhaka sub-division police station. He has not confessed anything yet. It seems they were killed over property disputes within the family," he added.
Police said the three bodies have been sent for autopsy to determine the exact time of the murder.
