A man and his two sons were stabbed by his two cousins who wanted to avenge their elder brother's death at the hands of his relative, police said on Wednesday.
The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in Shivaji Enclave in Rajouri Garden area of west Delhi.
The two assailants, identified as brothers Anmol and Kamal, attacked their cousin Ramkishan and his sons Pholchand and Shivchand with knives, police said.
Kamal subsequently stabbed himself while Anmol fled the spot.
All the injured taken to a nearby hospital. Ramkishan was later referred to Safdarjung hospital where his condition is said to be critical.
The fight between two families began a couple of months ago, when Pradeep, a good friend of Ramkishan's relative Rahul, had committed suicide. Rahul later murdered Ramesh, elder brother of Anmol and Kamal, suspecting his involvement in Pradeep's death. He was arrested.
Seeking revenge for their brother's murder, Amol and Kamal on Tuesday attacked Shivchand with knives.
Phoolchand and Ramkishan intervened to save him, but were too attacked by Anmol and Kamal, police said.
