Three trains were cancelled and the routes of 10 were diverted following an accident in Uttar Pradesh, railway officials said.
Barauni-Lucknow Express, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur Express and Lucknow-Gorakhpur Intercity Express were cancelled, they said.
The routes of New Tinsukia-Lalgarh Avadh Assam Express, Katihar-Amritsar Amrapali Express, Katihar-New Delhi Amrapali Express, Darbhanga-New Delhi Bihar Sampark Kranti, Bandra-Gorakhpur Express, Gorakhpur-Jammu Tawi Amarnath Express, Raksaul-Delhi Satyagrah Express, Amritsar-Jaynagar Shahid Express, Kathgodam-Howrah Baagh Express and Bandra-Muzaffarnagar Express were diverted.
Railway officials said they need another 48-hour to clear route for rail traffic.
