The Trinamool Congress has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission (EC) against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for the alleged presence of school students at an election rally addressed by him in West Bengal, an official said Friday.
According to assistant chief electoral officer Amitjyoti Bhattacharji, Trinamool national general secretary Mukul Roy had filed a complaint few days ago for the alleged presence of school-goers at Gandhi's Alipurduar rally in the state's Jalpaiguri district recently.
"We are expecting a report by today (Friday) from the district magistrate," he told reporters here.
Meanwhile, the Commission is also probing Trinamool MP Sougata Roy's complaint for the alleged rampant removal of his posters and flexes.
