Both serving and retired personnel of defence and paramilitary forces will get 100 percent rebate on payment of property tax in Haryana, a state government spokesman said here Sunday.
"The Haryana government has decided to give 100 percent rebate on property tax to the self occupied residential houses owned by the serving defence or paramilitary force personnel and ex-servicemen or ex-paramilitary force personnel or their spouses, and families of deceased soldiers and paramilitary forces personnel," the spokesman said.
He said that this rebate would be given provided they have no other residential house in Haryana and are residing there themselves and have not let out any portion of the house.
A large number of people from Haryana are serving in defence and paramilitary forces. Many ex-servicemen also reside in the state.
