Two Maharashtra state players -- Cajetan Dias and Kundan Chandra -- will represent India at Rio 2016 Footvolley world tournament, to be held from August 24 -28, the Footvolley Association of India announced on Monday.
They left for the competition on Sunday, according to a release from the governing body.
The tournament is a demo game conducted under the observation of International Olympic Committee (IOC), which the organisers hope will be included in Olympics 2020. Twentyfour countries will be participating in the event.
The competition will be held in the Official Beach Stadium of the Olympic Games of Copacabana beach which has a capacity for 12,000 spectators.
