Abu Dhabi, Nov 29 (IANS/WAM) The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (USE) has said it will issue a commemorative silver coin on the occasion of Martyrs' Day on Monday.
The bank said that the coin will be issued in appreciation of the decision of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to declare November 30 as Martyrs' Day to commemorate and express gratitude to "our heroic martyrs and dutiful sons" who have made the ultimate sacrifice in order to protect their country in the UAE and abroad in the field of civil, military and humanitarian service.
The bank said that in order to contribute to the occasion, it decided to issue a commemorative silver coin.
The face of the coin will depict the official logo of the occasion, and it will also depict the UAE official logo surrounded by the name in both Arabic and English, in addition to the date.
